JoJo's Closet FAQ

Q. Who can shop at JoJo's Closet?

A. JoJo's Closet currently serves any child with an open DFCS case, regardless of placement type. This includes foster parents, kinship and fictive kin families, group homes placements, children awaiting placement in DFCS offices or hoteling, or children who have recently reunified with family who still have open cases.

Q. How often can I receive clothing from JoJo's?

A. You may shop once a quarter or every time the child's clothing size changes.

Q. I need a bundle. Where do I pick it up?

A. You may choose to pick up your bundle from one of our secure JoJo's Closet donation locations. If you are located within Carroll County then you may choose to have someone from our team of volunteers deliver your bundle to you.

Q. What do I need to bring with me to shop at JoJo's Closet?

A.  When you shop with us, we ask that you bring an official DFCS placement letter or proof of custody or we will not be able to serve you. If you are requesting a pick-up bundle, we will ask for the placement letter/proof of custody before we create your bundle.

Q. What all will I receive from JoJo's Closet?

A. Each child will receive up to 7 outfits, a pair of shoes, a pack of sock and undies, and pajamas. Depending on age and need, we also have diapers, infant care items, and school supplies available.

We occasionally receive donations of larger items such as strollers, cribs, twin beds, baby swings, bicycles, etc. so don't be afraid to ask if there is something specific you need!
